Sam Abel is a Toronto artist whose work is inspired by her own undeniable corpulence. She uses art to shift people’s negative perceptions about their bodies, and explore and challenge normative standards of beauty.
Saucy Nüdles is a collection of nudes that explode ideas about what bodies are deemed acceptable for erotic consumption.
Sam is proudest of her work that positions bodies that are normally erased, ignored, or desexualized, as desirable.
In other words, Sam wants to see you naked.
